Description: Spliced eye sling, outside spliced and inside spliced

Standard: EN 13414.1

Safety factor: 5:1 (for general lifting purposes)

Wire construction: 6X19, 6X37, or as per clients’ requirement


The spliced steel wire rope is processed into a circular ring by inserting one or both ends. Excellent splicer, the rope strand is tightly woven with few burrs, with the characteristics of high strength, light weight, stable operation and not easy to break suddenly.


The end of a single wire rope is bent back along the rope to form the eye, and strands are hand-tucked into the body of the rope in what is called a Splice. This splice is tapered and concealed by tucking strand ends into the rope, making a sling that is easily pulled through narrow spaces; there are no rough ends to snag hands.


Hand-spliced slings should not be used in lifts where the sling may rotate and cause the wire rope to unlay.


The diameter of spliced sling range from 5mm-150mm, and Safety factor is 5:1

Two times of WLL test or breaking load test can be made, and provide Mill cert and 3.1 cert.

Feature:


Spliced steel wire rope has the characteristics of high strength, light weight, stable operation and not easy to break suddenly. It is widely used in iron and steel, chemical industry, transportation, port and other industries


Inspection:


The internal inspection of spliced wire rope rigging cannot be ignored, and some damage caused by corrosion cannot be directly observed by the naked eye, so the steps of internal inspection shall be strictly implemented.


Inspection method: clamp two clamps with appropriate size on the steel wire rope at an interval of 100-200mm, rotate in the opposite direction, and the strand rope will fall off. During operation, great care must be taken to avoid permanent deformation caused by excessive displacement of the strand rope (resulting in damage to the structure of the steel wire rope).


Inspection contents: after a small gap appears, use a probe such as a screwdriver to move the strand rope and remove the grease or other foreign matters that hinder the line of sight, and carefully inspect the internal lubrication, steel wire corrosion, wear marks caused by the mutual movement between steel wires and steel wires. In particular, it should be noted that the broken wire must be carefully inspected, because the broken wire head generally will not tilt up and is not easy to be found.


After the inspection, turn the clamp back slightly to fully restore the strand rope to its original position. If the above process is operated correctly, the wire rope will not deform.


Precautions for use: 


1. Users shall be familiar with the performance, precautions and scrapping standards of various wire rope slings and their end accessories.

2. The selected steel wire rope rigging shall adapt to the shape characteristics and specific requirements of the lifted workpiece. It must not be used without the use conditions.

3. Before operation, the wire rope rigging and its accessories shall be checked and confirmed to be intact before use.

4. Before hanging, the cable point shall be correctly selected; Before lifting, confirm whether the binding is firm.

5. Slings and accessories shall not exceed their rated lifting capacity, and slings shall not exceed their maximum working load under corresponding hanging state

6. The steel wire rope, rigging and accessories shall be prevented from being damaged during operation, and corner protection shall be added at the edges and corners if necessary.

7. The steel wire rope rigging shall be inspected regularly during its service life. If possible, flaw detection shall be carried out for the slings and end accessories of large tonnage and important products
